5 Tips To Better Use Your Amazon Kindle Basic, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Oasis
The Amazon Kindle is the most popular and most widely used e-reader in the world. Your kindle can do much more than just downloading and reading books from Amazon. Here are 5 tips and
recommendations to get the most out of your new Kindle, you gotta read on to find out everything 😈...
1. Take screenshots
Like what you see on screen or want to share a page of your ebook? You can so by simultaneously
tapping either the upper-right corner and lower-left corner or the upper-left corner and lower-left corner of the screen. A flash will appear on screen if done correctly, which means that the image has been saved. To view the saved screenshot, you need to connect your kindle to your computer and the image can be found in the root folder. The image will be saved as a PNG file.
2. Send Documents
You can send documents from your kindle using the Kindle Personal Documents Service. You can do so by emailing the documents to your Send to Kindle email address.
To view or modify your Send to Kindle email address:
1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices.
2. From Settings, scroll down to Personal Document Settings.
3. Under Send-to-Kindle Email Settings, your Send to Kindle email address will be listed.
4. To change this email address, click Edit next to your device, enter a new email address, and then click Save to save your changes. Here are full instructions for sending documents using your Kindle email.
3. Highlight text
You can highlight text and share it, or bookmark it for later. Place your finger on the text you want the highlight and drag your finger to include more or less text. It will then be grayed out on your Kindle. Options for your selected text will pop up. Tapping on the Highlight option will bookmark the text so that you can find it later.
4. Customize your reading interface
If you are dissatisfied with the default fonts, don't settle for a reading interface you are not happy with. Tap the toolbar near the top of the screen, then tap on the Aa icon. From there, you can choose the font type and size, the line spacing, the page margins, and the orientation of your device (Landscape/Portrait) For Kindle Paperwhite And Oasis users, you also can tap near the top of the screen then select the brightness button to change how vibrant your screen is. You will likely want to adjust this according to the ambient light.
5. Battery Life
Kindle Battery Life usually isn’t a big problem, with at least 2 weeks of battery life per full charge.
However, if you happen to be long way from home without your charger or just wanting to maximize your battery life, here are the few things you can do.
1. Turn off Wi-Fi connection: Tap the toolbar near the top of the screen, on the brightness button,
and selecting Airplane Mode.
2. Dimming the brightness on the kindle screen is going to squeeze out more battery life
3. Push the power button rather than tapping it, then choose Screen Off, so that the screen goes
completely blank while you're not using the Kindle, rather than displaying a screensaver.
4.Switch off Page Refresh from the Reading Options in Settings. Disabling this setting will prevent the Kindle from manually refreshing its e-paper screen with every page turn.
