A brand new line-up of shows is coming soon on Netflix. Here's 9 shows and movies to watch in May 2021.

From a zombie outbreak in Army of the Dead and robots raising the last human child in Eden, to potentially shedding a tear or two for the characters of Move to Heaven, here's a sneak peek at some Netflix titles to look forward to this May.
1) Jupiter's Legacy
Jupiter's Legacy is an American superhero series created by Steven S. DeKnight, based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely.

The series centres on the world's first generation of superheroes who are looking to their children to continue their legacy. Struggling to live up to their parents' reputations and expectations, tensions rise as the young would-be heroes, hungry to prove their worthiness, strive to break out of their parents' shadows.

Jupiter's Legacy stars Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade and Matt Lanter.

Release date: May 7, 2021
2) Mine
Mine is a South Korean television series directed by Lee Na Jung. The series delves into the lifestyle of high society women.

Follow Seo Hee soo (Lee Bo Young), former top actress and the second daughter-in-law of the Hyowon Group, and Jeong Seo Hyeon (Kim Seo Hyung), the first daughter-in-law of the Hyowon Group, as they try to find their true identities.

Mine stars Lee Bo Young, Kim Seo Hyung, Cha Hak Yeon and Park Hyuk Kwon.

Release date: May 8, 2021
3) The Woman in the Window
A psychological thriller-horror directed by Joe Wright, it is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by pseudonymous author A. J. Finn.

Confined to her home by agoraphobia, a psychologist (Amy Adams) becomes obsessed with her new neighbour across the street from her New York City brownstone condo, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play.

Also starring Gary Oldman and Anthony Mackie.

Release date: May 14, 2021
4) Move to Heaven
Move to Heaven follows Geu Ru (Tang Jun Sang), a young man with Asperger syndrome who is left alone when his father dies. Following his father's death, his uncle Sang Gu (Lee Je Hoon) steps up to become his guardian. Working together as trauma cleaners, they uncover untold stories.

Release date: May 14, 2021
5) Oxygen
A young woman wakes up in a medical cryo unit. She doesn’t remember who she is or how she ended up sequestered in a box no larger than a coffin. As she’s running out of oxygen, she must rebuild her memory to find a way out of her nightmare.

Release date: May 21, 2021
6) Army of the Dead
Zack Snyder revisits his horror roots in Army of the Dead, where Dave Bautista and his ragtag team of mercenaries race against time to pull off a 200-million-dollar heist in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas. There's only one thing standing in their way—an army of smarter, faster Alpha zombies infesting the quarantine zone surrounding the vault.

Besides Bautista, the movie also stars Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada and Tig Notaro.

Release date: May 21, 2021
7) Baggio: The Divine Ponytail
Baggio: The Divine Ponytail is a biographical film about Italian footballer Roberto Baggio, also known as Il Divin Codino (the Divine Ponytail). Despite his controversial career, he's a man who's widely considered among the greatest footballers of his generation and inspired entire generations to play football.

The documentary will be a parallel dramatisation of Baggio's childhood through his rise to stardom.

Release date: May 26, 2021
8) Eden
Eden is a dystopian science fiction anime series created and produced by Justin Leach, and directed by Yasuhiro Irie.

The series follows a city thousand years in the future, where a city known as Eden 3 is inhabited solely by AI robots whose former masters vanished a long time ago. Two maintenance robots accidentally awaken a human baby girl from stasis, a discovery that made them question all they were taught to believe—that humans were nothing more than a forbidden ancient myth. Together, the duo secretly raises the child in a safe haven outside Eden.

Release day: May 27, 2021
9) Lucifer
After a major midseason finale cliffhanger and a long production halt owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Lucifer will finally make its long-awaited return to the land of the living in hopes of making things right with Chloe.

Not much is known about what fans can expect from the coming episodes, but word has is that a full-blown musical episode will kick off the second half of season five, and it's aptly titled Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam.

Release date: May 28, 2021
