Everything about the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition

Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition was announced in China alongside the Redmi K60 series on Tuesday.

This is the latest addition to the Redmi Note 12 lineup. The phone comes with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, a rectangular module to house triple camera sensors and an LED flash, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and a boxy design with square edges. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition comes in Midnight Black, Blue, and Shimmer Green colours. The company hasn’t mentioned anything about the phone’s Singapore launch just yet.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition comes with a 6.67-inch OLED display with Dolby Vision, 120Hz refresh rate, Android 12 with MIUI 14, a 5000mAh battery, 67W fast charging support, and a 108MP primary camera.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition is priced at RMB 1699 (approx. S$330.74) for 6GB + 128GB, RMB 1799 (around S$350.21) for 8GB + 128GB, and RMB 1,999 (around S$389.14) for 12GB + 256GB version. The phone is already on sale in China.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution, 30/60/90/120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz High-Frequency PWM Dimming, DCI-P3 colour gamut, 900 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.

Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC with Adreno 642L GPU. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The handset runs on Android 12 with MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 162.91×76.03×7.9mm and weighs 181 grams. There is a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Moving to optics, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has triple cameras on the back, with a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor with OIS and f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
